Luther Ayze
CHINLE — Services for Luther Ayze, 69, will be 10 a.m., Saturday, March 19, at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church, Chinle. The Rev. Blaine Grein, OFM, will officiate. Burial will be in Community Cemetery, Chinle. Visitation will be 9 a.m., Saturday, March 19, in Chinle.
Ayze died March 15, 2011, in Chinle. He was born April 23, 1941, in Chinle, into the Coyote Pass People Clan for the Bitter Water People Clan.
Ayze completed high school in Anadarko, Okla.
Survivors include his sisters, Catherine Brown, Theresa Belinte of Pinon.
Ayze was preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Naomi Ayze; brothers, Leonard Virgil, Norman Ayze; sisters, Elmira Dennison, Josephine Ayze, Mary Roan, Sarah Kirisel.
Pallbearers will be family members.
The family will meet at Catherine Brown’s residence, 6 p.m., nightly until services.

Patty Francis
SHIPROCK — Services are pending for Patty J. Francis, 83.
Francis died Wednesday, March 16, 2011, in Farmington. She was born March 24, 1927, in Beclabito.
Correction for Hope Lee
MARIANO LAKE — Gray attended school up to the 3rd grade. She was a homemaker, rug weaver and silversmith. She was employed as a silversmith with Tommy Elkins Enterprise in Thoreau for 10 years. She was also employed with Mariano Lake BIA school as a foster grandparent. Gray had worked for ONEO (for the tribe). She had supported the Veteran Organization. She had won numerous awards for best dressed, and for teaching herself to read and write. Her hobbies included participating in traditional Kináál’da, song and dance.
Pallbearers will be Paulsen D. Lee, Paul D. Lee Jr., Gabriel D. Lee, Harrington Lee, Randy Lee, Tully Lincoln.
Charles Morgan
CROWNPOINT — Funeral services for Charles Morgan, 96, will be 2 p.m., Friday, March 18, at Christian Reformed Church, Rehoboth. The Rev. Gordan Stuit will officiate. Burial will be in Rehoboth. Visitation will be 9-11 a.m., March 18, at Cope Memorial Chapel.
Morgan was born into the Water Flows Together People Clan for the Salt People Clan.
Morgan retired from Wingate Army Depot. He was a member of the Crownpoint Christian Reformed Church and was honorably discharged from the US Army, a decorated Military Policeman, Dallas Cowboys fan and an avid outdoors sportsman. Morgan enjoyed attending local basketball games and spending time with his family.
Survivors include his wife, Ella C. Morgan; daughters, Lucinda M. Harrison, Sylvia D. Morgan, Violet J. Morgan; eight grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren.
Morgan was preceded in death by his son, Leroy C. Morgan; parents, Yahdeshbah Yazzie, John C. Morgan; brothers; sisters; grandparents.
Pallbearers will be Larry Bowman, Rohannon Bowman, Roshaunavan Harrison, Nataani Tome, Nabaai Tome, Benjamin Bates Jr.
The family will receive relatives and friends at Rehoboth Fellowship Hall, following services.

Josephine Pilon
GALLUP — Josephine “Little Jo” Pilon, 73, died March 13, 2011, in Gallup. She was born April 26, 1937, in Durango, Colo.
Pilon was a local bartender for 44 years. She loved to cook and feed anyone and everyone. She always made sure her family and neighbors, even her customers were fed. Pilon liked to make people laugh and play harmless practical jokes.
Survivors include her sons, Robert Romero, Frankie Pilon, Geoff Martin; daughter, Debbie Martin; brother, Tom Romero; sister, Angie Morales; eight grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren.
Pilon was preceded in death by her parents, Jenero Romero, Charolette Carlita Martinez;sister, Bernice Vigil; brother, Robert Romero; sons, Randy and Gregory Pilon; one great-grandson.
The family will receive relatives and friends at Gallups Elks Lodge, Friday, March 18, from 2-4 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to “Little Jo” memorial at Washington Federal.
Cope Memorial Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
Roger Plummer
SUNDANCE — Funeral services for Roger Gilbert Plummer, 57, were 10 a.m., today, March 17, at Church of Good Shepherd, Fort Defiance. The Rev. David Bailey officiated. Burial was in Rehoboth Christian Cemetery. Visitation was 9-10 a.m., at Church of the Good Shepherd, Fort Defiance.
Plummer died March 13, 2011, in Gallup. He was born July 2, 1953, in Fort Defiance, into the Zia People Clan for the Red Running Into the Water People Clan.
Plummer attended Intermountain High School and vocational school in the welding field. He was employed with the Anasazi Traders.
Survivors include his daughters, Stephanie Plummer, Steplike Plummer, both of Sundance; sisters, Pauline Dick of Fort Defiance, Noreen Hardy of Coalmine, Rose Sandsoap of Shipwork; three grandchildren.
Plummer was preceded in death by his brother, Steven Plummer; sisters, Marion Begay, Irene Douglas; parents, Kee and Nancy Holmes Plummer.
Pallbearers were Seymoor Begay, Calvin Lee Tsosie Jr., Victor Sandoval, Eric Dick, Frederick Dick Sr., Sherman Tsosie.
The family received relatives and friends at Churchrock Chapter House at 2 p.m., following services.

Jose Rodriguez
GALLUP — Memorial services for Jose Ramon Rodriguez, 64, will be 10 a.m., Friday, March 18, at Sacred Heart Cathedral, Gallup. The Rev. Lawrence O’Keefe will officiate. Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery. A Rosary will be recited 7 p.m., tonight, March 17, at Sacred Heart Cathedral.
Rodriguez died March 12, 2011, in Gallup. He was born Sept. 23, 1946, in Meogui, Chihuahua.
Rodriguez received his basic education from Mexico. He was a sales clerk at California Superama and custodian at Sacred Heart Cathedral. He liked playing and watching baseball, card collecting, dancing and spending time with friends and family.
Survivors include his son, Mario Escamilla of Gallup, Gino Escamilla Rodriguez of Gallup, Rudy Rodriguez of Albuquerque, Daniel Escamilla of Gallup, Jose Ramon Rodriguez Jr. of Trinidad, Colo.; daughters, Rocio Rodriguez of Dallas, Texas, Brandi Rodriguez of Gallup; father, Jose Rodriguez of Meogui, Chihuahua; brothers, Armando Rodriguez of Gamerco, Roberto Rodriguez of Hobbs, Jose Luis Rodriguez of Amarillo, Texas, Sergio Rodriguez; sisters, Carmen Monica Rodriguez of Denver, Colo., Mariaesther Ramirez of Meogui, Chihuahua, Teresa Rivera of Gamerco, Sandra Garcia of Meogui, Chihuahua; grandparents, Natividad Salazar, Ramon Segovia, Jesus Morales, Lorenzo Rodriguez; 20 grandchildren.
Rodriguez was preceded in death by his wife, Maria Theresa Escamilla Rodriguez; mother, Monica Ramirez Segovia Salazar.
Pallbearers will be Armando Rodriguez, Roberto Rodriguez, Mario Escamilla, Gino Escamilla, Rudy Rodriguez, Daniel Escamilla.
The family will receive relatives and friends at Sacred Heart Cathedral Family Center, Gallup, following services.
